We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician who will assist in taking care of animals that come into our facility. Duties include assisting doctors and each other with patients in the exam rooms, basic laboratory analyses, radiology, surgery and anesthesia, client education, etc. Experience in proper dog and cat handling for veterinary procedures, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthetic monitoring, and basic dentistry/dental radiology skills are strongly preferred. Client communication skills are also valued. Salary will reflect the set of skills, experience, ability to work as a part of the team, and reliability. 90 day probationary period applies. You will be required to interact with pets and their owners before the Veterinarian comes in to perform an examination. You will be required to perform a general assessment of the pet, talk to the owner about why they brought their pet in for care and take and record vital information for the Veterinarian to go over. You will also assist in maintaining the facilities and take care of animals that are boarded at the facility for various reasons. A successful Veterinary Technician candidate will have multiple prerequisite skills and qualifications needed for the performance of their duties.
