The Purdue University Veterinary Hospital is adding talented veterinary technicians to our Emergency and Critical Care team! As a teaching hospital supporting 15 different veterinary specialty departments, technicians in the ECC department have the opportunity to utilize all of their clinical skills working with a diverse caseload of patients. This team will work closely with DACVECC veterinarians, veterinary residents and interns, and VTS (ECC) technicians who offer team members the opportunity to learn and advance. Purdue University also boasts one of the top Veterinary Technology programs in the country and offers all employed technicians didactic and in-the-moment teaching opportunities with both veterinary and veterinary technology students. All technicians in the Purdue Veterinary Hospital are encouraged to work independently and utilize critical thinking skills to contribute to patient care. Technicians are also supported in working towards their VTS and are mentored through the process.
Workday will consist of 10 hours, totaling 40 hours per work week. Shifts will rotate and will include days, nights and weekends. Will also participate in holiday coverage rotation and after hours on-call for evenings and weekends.

While we specialize in equine athletes, we have experience with all breeds and disciplines.
