Associate Veterinarian position (full-time or part-time) at a full service, small animal, 2 ½ doctor, non-corporate veterinary practice in Brooksville, Florida. Animal Medical Center of Brooksville was founded in 2008 by Dr. Karen Taylor. Dr. Taylor, a 1988 UF graduate, was joined by Dr. Michael Marks (Cornell graduate) in 2016. Animal Medical Center of Brooksville is a busy 2 ½ doctor practice with 18 employees and an office manager. It is an extensive full service veterinary clinic offering internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. We have a flex arm surgical laser, digital radiology, dental radiology, IDEXX in house analyzers and reference lab services, and separate building for surgery, radiology, hospital, and outpatient services. Brooksville has a local emergency clinic that supports our after hour calls to eliminate emergencies so our doctors and staff can have adequate time off and a normal work week. Both doctors have years of experience and would be ideal mentors to new graduates. Compensation would be based on the level of experience with an additional compensation package ( healthcare, retirement fund, liability insurance, continuing education budget, vacation, association dues, and uniform allowance) included. Brooksville is a rural community in West Central Florida within 1 to 2 hours driving time to Tampa, Orlando, and Gainesville. It offers outdoor activities, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and golf. We are 30 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico.
