We are interested in speaking with experienced ER DVMs, internship trained DVMs, new or soon to graduate DVMs, or GP DVMs who have an interest in emergency medicine. ER Mentorship is available! Our Emergency and Critical Care Department is a 24/7/365 service with a busy and varied caseload serving a 3-4 hour radius including Oregon, California, Nevada, and Idaho. Should you join us in beautiful southern Oregon, your full-time schedule will include a rotation of day, swing, and overnight shifts and allows for flexibility and blocks of time off so that you may enjoy all that the area has to offer. Central Point is nestled within the Rogue Valley and is part of the Greater Medford area including the cities of Grants Pass, Rogue River, Jacksonville, Central Point, Medford, Phoenix, Talent, and Ashland. It is within driving distance of Portland, Reno, Bend, Tahoe, and San Francisco, as well as the Pacific coastline and there is an International Airport just down the road from the clinic for even more options. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys outdoor activities and seeks work-life balance. The Rogue Valley is a gorgeous area to work and live with many recreational opportunities such as kayaking, fishing, camping, hiking, rockhounding, mountain and road biking, trail running, and winter sports such as skiing and snowshoeing. Wineries and lavender farms dot the hillsides, and weekdays and weekends come with a myriad of farmers market options. Ashland’s Shakespeare Theater and Jacksonville’s Britt Music Festival are national level cultural events right in our back yard. We have both ER DVMS and Critical Care Specialist support for the ER and recently opened an Urgent Care to broaden our ability to serve the community. Alongside the ER and Critical Care Team, we have onsite support from Internal Medicine and Surgery Specialists. We have a highly trained and dedicated support staff of CVTs and VAs, full kennel support, and highly trained liaison services to ensure the success of our doctors and the practice as a whole. Our hospital culture emphasizes continuous learning, growth, and innovation while maintaining an atmosphere of respect, support, and fun. We have a DVM Mentorship program for new graduates looking to hone skills in the ER in a safe, supportive environment and internal technician training program for CVT as well as VTS. We encourage high level medical training, wellness and communication coaching, and community CE events through our new Regional Training Center. In our downtime we have clinic-facilitated outdoor adventure club activities, crafting club, game nights, and more! SOVSC is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including: Digital Radiography Ultrasound/echocardiography and separate cage-side point of care unit Telemetry Endoscopy (flexible and ridged) and Arthroscopy Tracheal Stenting Laparoscopy Ventilator support C-Arm VIMAGO HU CT Chemotherapy High Flow Nasal O2 3 surgical suites with a dedicated ortho suite Fully equipped canine and feline ICU with separate stepdown/recovery kennels Onsite pharmacy Well-equipped in-house lab Robust hospital operating system and paperless documentation

Workday

Should you join us in beautiful southern Oregon, your full-time schedule will include a rotation of day, swing, and overnight shifts (generally 12 shifts/month) on either solely ER or a mix of Urgent Care w/ ER, and allows for flexibility and blocks of time off so that you may enjoy all that the area has to offer. In addition to your minimum base shift rate, you will be compensated for production, or whichever has the higher value.
