AMH was founded by both Dr. Richard Coe and Dr. Susan Coe, ABVP. After both graduating from Auburn University they planted roots in Charlotte, NC and founded Animal Medical Hospital in 1983. In their 39 years of running AMH, they have expanded their practice to over 25,000 square feet, housing two large treatment areas providing space for care and treatment for outpatient and inpatient services. In 2020 they expanded again offering in-house laboratory and pharmacy, 13 examination rooms, an isolation ward, radiology room, ultrasound and endoscopy room, and separate surgery and dental suites. We say all that to let you know that we are always bettering ourselves, employees, and our hospital. We believe that in order for our hospital and employees to thrive, we must always be learning and trying new things. We offer continuing education bi-weekly, monthly doctor meetings and daily rounds. We also offer training in ultrasonography, endoscopy, and global fast scanning. Workday
Our emergency DVM's work an average of 12-14 days per month on a rotating schedule basis.

The Team
Our team includes 15 veterinarians and 40 veterinary nurses / techs
